Development of the various stores at Galeries de la Capitale
Located in the heart of Lebourgneuf, the Galeries de la Capitale, containing more than 280 stores, is a large multipurpose shopping centre in Quebec City. gbi participated in the project involving the development of around 60 stores per year for the Galeries de la Capitale. Each of the stores has an area ranging from 400 m2 to 800 m2.

A breath of fresh air
Since the beginning of gbi’s mandate, our teams have built the following stores in full: Swarovski Jewelry, MAC, Lavigeur Jewelry, Doucet Jewelry, Roots Canada, Lindt, Ecco, Lush Canada and Naturalizer.
For each of the stores, we produced the basic plans according to the requirements of the lessor and the lessee, as well as the layout drawings for plumbing, ventilation/air conditioning/heating, fire safety, electrical distribution, fire detection, lighting and the burglar alarm. We also handled supervision and commissioning for each of the stores during the construction period.
Project characteristics
Each of the store renovation projects had a tight schedule. Thorough knowledge of the electromechanical elements of the shopping centre allowed us to complete these projects within their deadlines, while complying with contract requirements and the sustainable development approach required by the lessor.
