Environmental Soil Characterization for Air Canada
YUL International Airport commissioned gbi to carry out environmental soil characterization on the site of the expansion of one of the existing Air Canada employee parking lots. When managing excavation material off-site, the potential presence of HPs, PAHs, VOCs and glycol had to be considered.

Project characteristics
Among the noteworthy characteristics of this project was the presence of several underground utilities such as natural gas pipes under the 12,000 m2 of land to be characterized. During gbi’s intervention, we fitted and created ten 1.0m trenches, located underground infrastructures and wrote a technical report including soil management recommendations.
