Quartier DIX30

Located in Brossard, the Quartier DIX30 is the first of its kind in Quebec. This complex, which serves both commercial and administrative functions, brings together retail stores, boutiques, restaurants, bars, offices and medical clinics. The development occupies more than 150 acres of land and was designed and landscaped to resemble a downtown area, taking the site’s multi-user vocation into account. Independent, uniform electromechanical systems were integrated into all the buildings to allow each element to be independent while creating consistency among the systems.

The first “lifestyle” complex in Quebec

Thanks to a meticulous upgrading plan, this project was carried out in accelerated mode and delivered within budget and schedule.

To ensure the success of the project, gbi conducted an in-depth study of the different design options (multi-level or underground parking lots; using precast or cast-in-place concrete, etc.) to compare the costs associated with each option and provide a detailed recommendation report. One specific recommendation, after examining the geotechnical report, was to add a second underground level in order to find soil with the right bearing capacity and to use conventional foundations instead of piles.
