Technical assistance and repaving
The first mandate carried out by gbi was to repave the 06-24 runway at the Quebec City Jean Lesage International Airport in 2011, since it had almost reached the end of its useful life. The first part of the project consisted of identifying the interventions needed to maintain the airport’s service level, before carrying out the major rehabilitation of the runway.
A lasting relationship
The second mandate, carried out in 2015 and 2016, involved preparing plans and specifications and ensuring construction supervision on four adjacent sub-projects, namely, the expansion of apron 2 to accommodate code C aircraft (AGN III), the construction of a vehicle corridor to prevent vehicles from using apron 3, the construction of a parking area for two code C aircraft (AGN III) or a code E aircraft (AGN V), as well as the construction of a CNP-V checkpoint for screening non-passengers.
In 2019, gbi once again participated in establishing the intervention phases and pavement damage in the regulated area of the apron, and in the supervision of ad-hoc repair works for the maintenance of airside surfaces. The mandate was carried out in compliance with our quality assurance program, registered to the ISO 9001 :2015 standard.
