Can you describe your role at gbi ?

« My role at gbi is versatile and involves several key responsibilities. As a CPI, I actively participate in the design and I have the chance to touch on project management. My main job is to support the senior engineers of the team. This includes coordinating tasks, managing technical and administrative documents, as well as communicating with project stakeholders.
A significant part of my work is also related to site supervision. This involves ensuring that the work on site complies with the established plans and standards, while being able to quickly resolve any issues that may arise. What makes my role exciting is the fact that I am involved in all stages of the projects. From the initial design to the realization on the ground, I actively participate in each phase, which gives me a more complete vision and a deep understanding of each project. »

What are the most rewarding aspects of your job ?

« What makes my job particularly rewarding is its hands-on nature and the fact that I work on projects that are geographically close to the office.
This facilitates communication and collaboration with teams in the field, which allows me to be more responsive to challenges encountered. It is also rewarding to contribute to the development and improvement of our local environment, by working on projects that have a direct impact on our community. »

Where do you see yourself in 5 years ?

« In five years, I see myself evolving towards a more autonomous project manager role within the team. Currently as a CPI, I am in a phase of learning and consolidating my skills. In the medium term, I aspire to exercise more responsibilities in the management and coordination of projects.
What particularly motivates me is the opportunity to share my knowledge with other colleagues, just as senior engineers do today. I would like to contribute to the training and development of newer team members, by sharing my experience and supporting them in their professional progression. »

Outside of your work, what are your interests and how does this contribute to your professional and personal balance ?

« First of all, motorcycling has been an important part of my life for a decade. It is a passion that allows me to discover new horizons, enjoy the roads and experience moments of freedom and escape. This activity brings me balance by allowing me to recharge my batteries and take a step back after a busy week.
In addition, I greatly enjoy outdoor activities. Whether at the cottage, camping or paddleboarding, I like to be in contact with nature. These moments are also precious because they are an opportunity for me to spend time with my family. These moments with my loved ones allow me to disconnect from everyday life, recharge my batteries and find a positive and energetic state of mind to approach my professional responsibilities with more serenity. »
