Bloom Lake Iron Mine
To deal with increased production at the Bloom Lake Iron Mine, gbi was commissioned to build a new mine drainage water treatment plant with a capacity of 75,000 m3/d, with the possibility of increasing its capacity to 150,000 m3/d for phase 2.

A reduction in suspended solids and iron under the standards of the MDDELCC’s directive 019
As part of this construction project, for which gbi carried out the complete 3D modelling of the plant, it is important to note that the objective of reducing suspended solids and iron under the standards of the MDDELCC’s directive 019 was achieved. Other features of this project include the use of a physical-chemical processes (coagulation/flocculation/settling) with lamellar clarification; pH testing; pumping sludge to the tailings pond; gravity inflows and outflows; use of the ProChain management tool.
