Personal Information Protection Policy

GBI recognizes the importance of protecting personal information and the potential impacts that the disclosure of such sensitive information could have. It is with this perspective in mind that we have established a Personal Information Protection Policy.

GBI is committed to preserving the confidentiality and security of personal information of our employees and all individuals affected by our activities, while also complying with the legislation regarding the protection of personal information in the private sector (Bill 25 - An Act to modernize legislative provisions as regards the protection of personal information). This Personal Information Protection Policy outlines how GBI collects, uses, stores, and discloses personal information.

1. Collection of personal information

We only collect the personal information necessary for the legitimate conduct of our business activities. The types of personal information we may collect include, but are not limited to: name, address, phone number, email address, payment information, etc. We are committed to collecting only the information that is necessary and obtaining appropriate consent when required by law.

 

2. Use of personal information  

We use the personal information collected only for the purposes for which it was provided, unless otherwise authorized by the individual concerned or required by law.

3.Retention of personal information

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, unless required by law to do otherwise. We take reasonable measures to ensure that personal information is secured against loss, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

4. Disclosure of personal information

We only disclose personal information to third parties in the following cases: when it is necessary to achieve the specified purposes, when we have obtained the consent of the individual concerned, when required by law, or when it is necessary to protect our legitimate interests.

5. Security of personal information  

We implement appropriate security measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. This may include technical, administrative, and physical measures to mitigate security risks.

6. Rights of individuals concerned

Individuals affected by our activities have the right to access, correct, or delete their personal information upon request at any time.
