Working together to envision tomorrow’s world.
We believe in our employee’s ability to help us create a world rooted in our values of continuous innovation, responsible management and sustainable development.
gbi is proud to have carried out this project of developing a LEED NC certified cancer centre. The project consists of the construction of a new building with an area of 7,275 m2, located at the south-east end of the hospital site with a public connection and service corridor in the basement of block U (emergency) of the pre-existing building.
A LEED NC certified project recognized for its indoor air quality and superior comfort while meeting the constraints imposed by health standards.
The project, which uses 100% geothermal energy for cooling and heating loads, was designed based on energy measures selected by our team. Some examples: recovery of heat from specialized medical equipment cooled with the mixed water network that is connected to the HVCA systems; thermal wheel for the pretreatment of fresh air; occupancy sensor in most rooms; optimization of natural light; variable frequency drive fans and pumps; electric steam boiler for humidification (to maximize the use of Hydro-Québec’s L rate).
We believe in our employee’s ability to help us create a world rooted in our values of continuous innovation, responsible management and sustainable development.
